Big News Grand Lux Cafe Fans!

OK, when I heard this I did not believe it at first but according to my brother and Jason the Grand Lux Cafe will be opening late Spring at the Garden State Plaza. This is huge news!
For those of you unfamiliar with the Grand Lux Cafe it is a bigger version of the Cheesecake Factory (same owners). The first one opened at The Venetian in Las Vegas (my favorite hotel) as a 24 hour restaurant. Due to it's huge success they decided to open a few more in places like California and Florida. There is also one in Long Island but being a northern NY suburb girl Long Island is a far trip. This is great news, I think the Garden State Plaza needed more upscale chain eating options. It is something they were really lacking.
Truthfully, I do not have a favorite dish here because I have only been a few times because I have only been to the one in the Venetian but I can recommend the Polynesian Salad, Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and the French Toast. My mom and brother simply love the Warm Pot Roast Sandwich but I do not really eat stuff like that.
There is one thing though that I am a bit annoyed at with GLC. They only serve the sourdough bread here, not the brown bread that Cheesecake serves as well.
OK, let me know what you think of this big news.

For all intents and purposes, I am a Chain Food "virgin", which is a damn-near crying shame, since my hometown now practically hosts a Grand Lux Cafe. It is located in the Roosevelt Field Shopping Mall, about 5 miles from my house, and because of this blog, I am very interested to try it; especially because my favorite Dish is anything Buffalo Chicken-related. Thank you for the interest you've generated. The only way I'd rethink this decision is if Red Lobster moves up in rank on that Top 10 list. I think it should be booted all together, quite frankly.
